Our Training Sessions

Now government restrictions have been lifting, we have resumed full training and meet in the main Tilgate Car Park outside the Smith and Weston ready for a 6.30pm start on every Monday and Wednesday evening. Any exceptions to this will be posted below.

There is no fee for our sessions, and we welcome any non-members to come along and try a few sessions before committing to join the club.

Generally, our Monday sessions are social runs with a variety of distance and pace, and we always ensure that no runner is left running on their own, with those at the front either waiting or doubling back to meet the others in the group.

Our Wednesday sessions are usually more technical and will include such activities as intervals, hill training, tempo runs etc

If you have never trainined with us before, please feel free to come along to any session, everyone is welcome no matter what your ability or experience.

No one is ever left behind, distances typically range from 4k upwards depending on the group, conditions and weather.

Although they are currently on hold, we normally take part in WSFRL league races, typically on a Sunday once a month and some Wednesday evenings during summer, when there are no WSFRL races on we often take part in other races or meet up to go out for a social Sunday morning run as well as a Friday night social run through Tilgate and Furnace Green.

We are also members of the Sussex Grand Prix (SGP), and the Sussex Cross Country League, and will publish further details on these once they are up and running again.

Our running coaches are very happy to help those starting out and can help prepare an individual training plan for a particular target or race.
