Saints & Sinners Runners of The Month 2017: August

August has been and gone but that does not mean we forget our Runner of the Month…. Or in this this case, our Runners of the Month!

Our first candidate is someone who came to the club with a smile from ear to ear and hasn’t stopped! He is constantly helping, supporting and encouraging everyone and anyone who gets close to him. He can often be found at parkrun as well and has notched up a few PB’s in recent months as well as helping other members achieve their own PB’s.

Add to this he has spent time travelling to the big city and bright lights with fellow runners for the Run Through series of runs and again, has often run with anyone willing to accept his help and support. He has been the life of training sessions and rarely complains, but if he did it would be with a smile so step forward Ken Tulley.

Our next Runner of The Month for August is also someone who embodies the spirit of Saints & Sinners and has gone out of his way to help, support and encourage everyone and has been helping to support run leaders with large groups, often doubling back on runs and accompanying other runners.

As a keen triathlete he has been burning the candle at both ends this year but it shows no signs of any ill effects… in fact rather the opposite. With a string of PB’s throughout the month of August he has smashed through his parkrun time with a blaze of runs and has competed in some of the WSFRL league races for the club as well with strong runs.

As the pictures show, both runners can be often be seen with a smile when running (unheard of!) so long may this continue and please step forward Paul Codd.
